With pain in his heart he saw his dog’s eyes close forever and collapses next to him.

Since the young man’s dog was getting on in years, he decided to put him to sleep, but not before making a 10-minute film in which they treat him to all of his favorite things—including chicken—before he passed away. Because dogs win their owners’ hearts with their beautiful and steadfast friendship, their loss can be as devastating as that of a human loved one.

Cappuccino’s owner, a young man called Lauro Morales, decided to document the final moments of his puppy’s life on social media. Through tears, he decided he could no longer bear to see the dog suffer, so they took him on a car journey, fed him chicken, gave him a wash, and eventually let him go. Through his sobs, the child clung to his sweetheart and waited for their time together to come.

One of the hardest days of Lauro’s life involved saying goodbye to the most loyal dog he had ever loved, as shown in a video posted to TikTok by user _victorcaudillo.

In the 10-minute footage, Cappuccino is shown sitting down because he is too weak to stand. While the dog lay there looking at his lifelong companion, he groomed and bathed him, creating a lifetime’s worth of memories for himself.

The family came out and, in tears, hugged him and told him how much they loved and would miss him as she carried him for one more walk on a small bed perched on top of a board.

He drove about with the dog in the back of the truck as a group of people brought him his final meal of chicken and cookies. Cappuccino chowed down on his dinner.

Then the inevitable goodbye had to be said. Lauro had anticipated pain, but it wasn’t until he arrived that the flow of memories from Cappuccino’s youth began.

They got at the animal hospital and got everything ready for the channeling, leaving only ten minutes to say their goodbyes. In the video, Lauro is seen immediately and passionately hugging Cappuccino, saying, “A lifetime of memories went through my thoughts.”

The video claims the dog was at peace and quiet during the process since Lauro never left his side till the dog’s heart stopped beating and his little eyes closed to cross the rainbow.

He died peacefully in my arms as his heart and breath grew weaker and quieter until they finally ceased.

It appears that the young man has dissolved into the dog’s form and given up for good. For many people, this will be a sobering thought: “I wish dogs were forever;” but, alas, they don’t. Instead, their lifespans are shorter, and, like Lauro, their owners want to make the most of the time they have with their pets.

We pray that Morales’s heart mends and that he never forgets that he has a heavenly protector.
