We all like a happy ending, but like all other stories, we cannot ignore the painful beginning. A bit like the story of Cala, a mechanic’s guard-dog in San Jose, Costa Rica, who suffered a miserable state of being engaged on a sequence so short, that she could neither lay her head down, nor breathe properly. She is in poor health, suffering from trauma and malnutrition. Good thing she was rescued and delivered to Territorio de Zaguates,
She is slowly recovering from the animal shelter. However, another hurdle came to Cala’s life when heartless people tried to sneak in the shelter and fed the dogs with poison-infused sausages. The incident resulted in the death of 16 dogs, and Kara developed some neurological problems. After overcoming difficult challenges, we’re glad to mention that she finally found a family who treats her well, helping her to revive her faith in humanity again. Witness Cala’s heart-warming story through the photographs below.
Kara has been in this miserable state for many years. She can’t lay her head down, or maybe breathe properly.
It was almost too late for Cala. She is in a very unhealthy state.
When she was taken in, she was malnourished and covered in wounds that she couldn’t stand.
For Carla, the recovery process is long and painful.
In addition to being physically weak, Cara also finds it difficult to trust a person or other dog.
Although the rehabilitation process is difficult and long, the rescuers are determined to help her.
Soon, Cala was back in shape.
However, even after she recovered, another obstacle appeared in her life.
Heartless people snuck into the shelter and fed the dogs with poison-infused sausages.
The incident killed 16 dogs, and caused Cala to suffer from neurological problems.
But Kara is a troublesome dog, and she fights for her life until she is ready to overcome another obstacle.
