Laura Maylon, director of Mini Cat Town (animal activists in San Jose, California), intervened quickly when she learned of the three kittens in peril.
When Lilo, Stitch, and Nani were brought to rescuers, they were just a few weeks old. All of the kittens are underweight, have a cold, and are in desperate need of loving. Laura explains, “I named them after characters from my favorite Disney movie.”
Despite being the tiniest of the brood, Lilo shows a strong resolve to live. Laura started feeding and caring for the kittens around the clock after they were placed in an incubator.
While Lilo’s siblings had little trouble gaining weight, she struggled to do so herself, yet she insisted on eating through a syringe.
There were good days and bad days, but Laura knew the cat just needed to get over the worst of her illness before everything would fall into place.
Nani, Lilo’s sister, was always there for her. And brother Stitch proved to be a trailblazer, setting the tone and showing the females how to have a good time.
Lilo began to eat more and grew more energetic as a result of her carers’ attention and encouragement.
“She happily ate all her food and played a lot with her brother and sister. She also figured out how to play with small toys, chasing them on the floor, and this process fascinated her, ”wrote Laura.
Lilo became the most affectionate of the litter and would go to sleep on her foster daddy whenever he was around. She sat on his chest in such a way as to survey the room while she was stroked.
“Stitch is playful, Nani is gentle, and Lilo is loving.” “She enjoys playing with her brother and sister and can stand up for herself, but she also enjoys pampering herself,” Laura explains.
Lilo was always on the move now that she had healed, seeking to explore the room or simply running about with her brother and sister.
But it was when her guardians took her in their arms and cradled her like a child that she felt the happiest.
When Laura walked into the room, the happy infant showered her with kisses, cuddled up to her, and sought attention.
The kittens’ guardians congratulated them on their achievements. Lilo was applauded and embraced every time she tipped the scales to another fantastic record.
Nani, who swiftly became a fully-fledged domesticated pet, spent a lot of time with Lilo, either playing with her or napping with her.
When it came time to find a nice home for the kittens, a great family arose, who instantly fell in love with both sister cats and chose to adopt them.
We had to wait a bit for Lilo and Nani to reach the weight of 900 g, but as soon as this happened, they moved to a new monastery, quickly settled there and felt comfortable. Stitch also found his well-deserved happiness.
“Of course, we’ll miss them, but every parting ensures that we’ll see each other again.” Laura adds, “There are always kittens wanting to be treated and loved.”
Lilo sleeps and frolics from the heart!
Lilo, the smallest of the litter, matured into a lovely cat with a lovely fluffy tail over the following few months. Do not spill water since they are still connected with their sister.
Lilo has not only getting taller, but she has also shown her inner arrogance and isn’t afraid to show her feline charms.
Their family adores them to the point of obsession, and the sisters are living the life of their dreams – spoilt and domestic.
