When seconds mattered, a Good Samaritan saved the day.

Video has emerged showing the dramatic moment a young deer was swept up in the fast-moving waters of a canal in Utah. Unable to climb up the steep canal walls on her own, and drifting rapidly toward a metal grate, the fawn was in serious risk of injury — or worse.

But as the worrying scene unfolded, a bystander was positioning himself to rescue the deer from disaster.

Thanks to the man’s actions, the fawn had been rescued — proof yet again that a kind heart and a little quick thinking can make all the difference.

Footage of the dramatic rescue quickly went viral online, earning the man some much-deserved praise from viewers around the globe.
